Dearly Beloved
Today, final tributes of respect were given for the family of Helen Mae Carpenter. She passed away on Sunday, March 20th at age 91. Did you know her? Do you know her family? Is there time in our busy schedules to attend funerals of people we didn't know but were friends or co-workers of the family? Are sympathy cards even a thing these days?
Helen was a member of the Skiatook Church of the Nazarene for 14 years. She attended faithfully for many years until her health would not allow her to leave her home. What a blessing for her that her children were there to care for her. Helen has 9 brothers and sisters and she has 4 children. And of course she loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Our sincere condolences to Lisa and Sam Little and all members of Helen's family. She will long be remembered by those of us who knew her.
Forasmuch as the spirit of Helen Carpenter has returned to God, who gave it, we therefore tenderly commit her body to the grave in sure trust and certain hope of the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come, through our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall give to us new bodies like unto His glorious body. “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.” [Jo]
