Your problem child could be a "child of promise"? Really? Are you sure? Well, it could be possible. God may have a special destiny in mind for your child and maybe that's why there's been so much drama around her or him. Satan has targeted them because he sees their potential. He has recognized God's plan for them and he's out to stop it. Do you think satan would do that? Yep! He sure would! He used Pharaoh to get to Moses. He used King Herod to get to Jesus before they were two years old. Why? Because one day they would arise as deliverers and fulfill God's plan. Paul spent the first 30 years of his life going the wrong way until he met Jesus and started going the right way. So....satan will attack your child of destiny too. What should we do? PRAY for them. Jesus told Peter: "Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren." (Lk 22:31-32 NKJV) When your children are young, lay your hands on them and speak God's Word over their lives. And as they enter their teenage years "stand in the gap" and PRAY. Speak God's blessing upon them. When we do our part, God will do His. When we do all we can for our "child of promise", God will intervene and do what we cannot do. God has a purpose for your problem child, so keep loving them and praying for them however long it takes. Fight for your "child of promise"!!!! [Jo]
